Opsyte is wrapping up the year with exciting December updates! As the festive season unfolds, we’re delivering new features to ensure your operations run seamlessly through the holidays. Celebrate this season of growth and efficiency with us as we continue to innovate for your success.



These Release Notes will cover:

  • New and Improved P+L Flash Report (Requested Feature)

  • Probation Periods (Requested Feature)

  • New method of calculating holiday (Requested Feature)

  • Marking Job Roles as inactive (Requested Feature)

  • Open Shifts (Requested Feature)

What do we mean by a Requested Feature?

We encourage our clients to suggest ideas for improvement by using the Feature Requests option in our sidebar. The Feature Requests page allows you to submit your ideas for improvement, as well as vote and comment on those left by other users. Please get involved and help us to decide what to develop next!


New and Improved P+L Flash Report

We're thrilled to announce an enhancement to the P+L Flash report in Opsyte! You can now add sales trackers directly to your report for a more detailed overview.

To get started, simply go to the ‘Cash Up’ page within the ‘Financial’ module. From there, open the trackers section. Next to each tracker, click ‘Include in P+L’ to add it to your report. It’s that easy!

Trackers added to the P+L will also mirror onto the End of Day Cash-Up Snapshot, providing consistent and comprehensive data across your reports.

This update is designed to help managers gain better insights and streamline the cash-up process with more comprehensive data. As always, Opsyte continues to make your day-to-day operations more efficient and data-driven.


Add Probation Periods to Employee Profiles

You can now set probation periods for employees directly in Opsyte! This can be done during the hiring process or added later through the Job Roles tab within employee profiles. Another tool to help manage your team more effectively!


New Method of Calculating Holiday

We’re excited to announce a new holiday calculation feature designed to simplify the process for regular hourly employees. This updated calculation method is ideal for those with consistent working hours.

For employees with irregular hours, the previous holiday calculation method remains available. If you would like to switch between the old and new calculations, simply reach out to our support team, and we’ll assist you with the change.

We recommend making the switch at the start of your new holiday year to ensure a smooth transition. Please see more details of the calculation here.


Marking Job Roles as Inactive

We're excited to announce a new feature that will help streamline your staff management! You can now easily mark job roles as inactive in Opsyte. To do this, simply head to your Company Settings, click 'Edit' next to the job role you wish to update, and select 'Mark as Inactive'.

Please note that this option is only available if no employees are currently assigned to the job role. If there are active staff members in the role, it will need to be reassigned before it can be marked as inactive.


Open Shift Functionality Coming Soon to Opsyte!

We’re thrilled to announce that Open Shift functionality will soon be available on Opsyte! This new feature allows managers to offer specific shifts directly to designated job roles. Employees in those roles can then easily accept the shifts, seamlessly integrating them into the rota.

Currently, we’re in the testing phase and looking for a few sites to help us perfect this feature. If you’d like to get involved and be among the first to try it out, please reach out—we’d love to hear from you!
