August is all about momentum at Opsyte, and this month's updates are here to keep your operations running at full speed. These enhancements are built to power your team through the busy season with ease and efficiency as we prepare innovative features that are on the way.

These Release Notes Will Cover:

  • Holiday Cap for Irregular Hour Workers (Requested Feature)

  • Google Reviews (Requested Feature)

  • New and Improved Website Launch

What Do We Mean By a Requested Feature?

We encourage our clients to suggest ideas for improvement by using the Feature Requests option in our sidebar. The Feature Requests page allows you to submit your ideas for improvement, as well as vote and comment on those left by other users. Please get involved and help us to decide what to develop next!

Rota Approval Page Update

We've improved the rota approval page to make managing shifts even clearer. Now, users are displayed in the same custom order as the rota (when set up), ensuring consistency across both the rota and the rota approval page. This small but impactful change makes it easier to review and approve rotas quickly, without having to adjust to a different order of names.

Holiday Cap for Irregular Hour Workers

Opsyte now allows you to cap holiday entitlement for employees with irregular hours. These workers will continue to accrue holiday, but their entitlement can be limited to the statutory maximum of 28 days (5.6 weeks) per year, inclusive of public holidays.

To cap this employee's holiday accrual, go into the staff list and select the employee. Once in their profile select Holiday.

You can then select Edit Holiday Allowance

Here you will see any historical changes to this employees holiday cap. To make a change you will need to enter a start date that the cap applies from, then the number of days.

Click save changes, to view the update you can go back into the holiday accrual and check if the employee has reached their days cap. Here you can see the first employee has reached their cap, this is visible by the small information marker next to their name.

If you hover above this marker you can view the shift length and actual accrual vs capped.

Google Reviews

Opsyte now integrates directly with Google Reviews! Your daily snapshot email will include the latest five reviews, giving you quick visibility on customer feedback. Reviews are updated nightly, and you can also trigger a manual refresh at any time to see the most up-to-date comments.

If you head to the Company Settings and select Customer Reviews this will take you to the sign in page.

To enable the Google Reviews integration, simply select Sign in with Google. Please note that you must be the Gmail account holder with full permissions in order to complete the integration.

After signing in with Google, select Continue to grant the necessary permissions

Make sure you select the correct location if you have multiple sites which can be done in the location field and select save.

Once you've connected Google Reviews you can include them in your daily Snapshot. Simply head to the Cash Up page, open Snapshot Settings, and scroll down to the Customer Reviews option. Tick this box to have the latest reviews automatically pulled into your snapshot email.

Once enabled, customer reviews will appear directly in your daily Snapshot email.
