October flew by, and with it came a wave of exciting updates to Opsyte. Our team has been hard at work refining features, improving performance, and laying the groundwork for a smoother, smarter experience across the platform. As we gear up for our Profit Lab event on November 11th, we're thrilled to share a first look at what we've been building for 2025.

These Release Notes will cover:

  • UX improvements to Opsyte across the whole product.

  • Search and view all invoices for a supplier directly from any invoice page or the search bar.

  • Employees can submit holiday requests even if the rota is created but not yet published.

  • Managers receive push notifications when a new holiday request is made.

  • When posting sales data to Xero, any missing nominal codes are now clearly flagged with guidance on how to fix them.

What do we mean by a Requested Feature?

We encourage our clients to suggest ideas for improvement by using the Feature Requests option in our sidebar. The Feature Requests page allows you to submit your ideas for improvement, as well as vote and comment on those left by other users. Please get involved and help us to decide what to develop next!

UX Improvements to Opsyte

We've made changes to a number of different pages on Opsyte which focuses on creating a smoother, more intuitive experience for users. The designs have been refreshed to feel cleaner and more modern to help users find what they need quickly whilst also creating a fresh and revitalising look and feel to the modules.

UX improvements have been applied to the Holiday Calendar and Holiday Page:

The Company Settings and Payslips page:

The Clock in Rules/Settings:

There is a new date picker for weeks in the rota:

These changes are also reflected on the payroll page:

And finally the reports:

Invoice Searches

You can now search for suppliers from any invoice page or search box within the invoices module, making it faster and easier to find the supplier information you need.

Holiday Request Update

Employees can now request holiday even if a rota has been created by a manager but has not yet been published, providing greater flexibility and ensuring time-off requests can be made without waiting for the final schedule to go live.

Holiday Request - Push Notifications

We now send push notifications to managers when an employee requests holiday, ensuring requests are seen and making it easier to stay on top of approvals in real time.

Sales Data

If sales data is being posted to Xero and the cash-up page has not been configured correctly, we will now provide clearer guidance to help resolve the issue. Currently, when a user attempts to post either a single day or a full week to Xero and a "nominal code" is missing, the system simply informs them of the error.

To minimise confusion, we now display a button that, when selected, directs the user to the specific screen where the required connection can be made (provided they have the necessary Admin permissions).

This enables linking to the appropriate page and prompting the user to enter the missing "Account Code" in the designated field.
