Unmapped Item Error

This is a particularly useful guide for all those with till integrations!

Occasionally when performing your cash up or working on your financial page. You may stumble across a banner that looks like this:

This banner can appear above your Banking and/or Revenue columns. It is our way of informing you that there are revenues/payment methods being processed on your till, that aren't appearing on Opsyte.

This can happen for a number of reasons. Most commonly because you have added a new category to your till such as a new menu item or a new payment method.

When this banner appears, it means that you need to set up the new item's mapping. Until these are mapped, your Cash Up won't balance and you will see variances.

In order to map these items, you must follow these steps:

Click on the pencil icon on the effected column

Firstly, under the column that is effected (either banking or revenue) select the (pencil icon) button at the top of the column as shown below.

If you cannot see the pencil icon option, it means your site admin has not given you the permission to make changes here. Speak to your site admin about getting permission if required.

For mapping Revenue types (Tracker Column)

When you enter the Payment or Revenue type menu. You will see a list of all of your mapped items.

The first thing is to select the relevant item under EPOS field. Any unmapped items will appear in this EPOS field drop down with a warning symbol next to it as shown below.

Select the item you would like to map and then select the correct, Type, Category and VAT rate, then press "Create".

For mapping Payment Types (Banking Column)

When setting up an unmapped payment type in the banking column, you only have to add one more piece of information.

You just need to select a payment type from the drop down list shown below. So that the EPOS field can be linked to the correct payment type.

If you cannot see the correct payment type in the list or are unsure what description fits best. Then please contact our support team who will be able to assist you with this.

Once you have mapped any items in your banking or tracker columns, you will need to refresh the page to see your changes.
