Setting and Changing Employee Pay Rates

Here's how to set and change pay rates for employees!

Within this article you will learn how to Set and Employees Pay Rate, but also How to Change an Employees Pay Rate.

Setting Employee Pay Rates πŸ‘©β€πŸ³

As part of the onboarding process, Firstly select on Staff on the left hand side then Add Staff.

When you first employee someone you will have an few boxes to fill or select, one of which being Pay Rate.

Alongside this is where you input the Pay Type and Contracted Hours Per Week.


Changing an Employee Pay Rate πŸ’°

To change a pay rate of an existing employee, again navigate your way to the Staff section of the portal, but this time select Staff List.

Click on the name of the staff member whose pay rate you want to adjust - this will bring up their Staff Details page.

Once here, select the Job Role and Pay Rates tab and click on the Change Pay Rate button on the right hand side of the page.

From here you can Change the Pay Rate and chose the date that it is effective from. Once inputted, select Save Pay Rate to update the system.

On this pay you can also see Current Pay at the top and Previous Pay Rates at the bottom.

Please note: you can also change an employee from hourly to salary or vice versa by clicking the Pay Type drop down menu. Make sure if you are setting their pay as hourly you input their hourly rate in Amount, and if you are setting their pay as salary you input their salary per annum.

Editing Payrates πŸ”¨

If you have made a mistake with any of your employee's pay rate details, you are able to make an adjustment to them.

On the same page where you change pay rates, on the right-hand side, you will see a button that says "Edit Payrates"

When you select this button you will be able to adjust the start date, end date, pay amount, and contracted hours per week.

(Please note, that you will not be able to make any adjustments that fall within a closed payroll period)
